Does anyone know where I can get hold of the time sheet describing the time a dealer can charge for a specific job.

I'm having an insurance job problem. Insurer is advising me that the dealer is overcharging and is unwilling to pay the full amount. It is not the labor rate which is the problem, but the amount of hours charged.

Is there any way to cross check what the dealer is charging.

I have found BMW dealers unwilling to share such information.

BMW Motorrad UK.

As far as I know, and which you have implied, there are timed schedules for work done.

I've just noticed your are in Greece so, perhaps when they're bored with the beach and get back to work. :thumb

I dont think they publish service times let alone repair times (KTM publish service times)

can you get another quote from another w/shop, find someone who has had the same repair locally, or let us all know on here the repair and price quoted and maybe someone can provide evidence to confirm or refute the quote you have had?

Lovely British humor aside, all manufacturers have service times.
The question was whether anyone on here has access to the bmw ones.

If you have a SnapOn tool guy about, the ones that come round selling tools. They used to sell a "schedule time" book by AutoData. Autodata books cover everything from specifications to steering geometry settings. If its body/frame damage then the estimate could be broken down into seperate operations so you can see whats being charged for.

What difference does knowing what time it takes to do a scheduled job have on getting your bike back?

You need to be banging the dealer and insurance companies heads together

In the UK we have Thatcham who do all the scheduled times for vehicle repairs but I doubt they do bikes? :nenau
