Workshop/shed/garage alarm

Now that my bike has been restored and is a go-er, and as I acquire more valuable tools, it's about time I sorted myself out with an alarm. I don't want one with door contacts as the large wooden doors of the workshop are a rattly fit, so it's a PIR one for me. Can anyone recommend a decent one? I'm thinking of one on the far wall facing the doors so a 20ft walk across the floor to disarm it. Ta. There's one in Maplins I was looking at, at about £19.99.

I'd also consider adding 1 or 2 Henry Kranks.
They really do work.
I've got one connected to front wheel of the trike, by almost invisible fishing line.

Wouldn't it be worth spending a bit more money on something that would give you sensors on the doors, fully remote control, wireless and the option to link it up to your phone if you wanted? I can't remember where I got mine but it is similar to THIS and had the option to link to a PC/phone (albeit that I've never gone that far).

I fitted one of these in a flat we were renovating, a wired system but in our install only 2 detectors (pir & door contact) and a bell, piece of piss to install really.

In fact ive still got a PIR and door contact plus cable in garage, if you buy a control panel & nell i will happily send them to you for postage, make sure they come with batteries.

Well the intruder would have to rush across the four or five yards to the alarm, look for a hammer before using it. Oh and find a step ladder to climb up to it too.

Pablo, Thanks for the kind offer but I bought the Bond Hardware wireless alarm, not from Maplins but on eBay at half the price. I can't use door sensors as my large wooden workshop doors do rattle a bit in the wind and I'd get lots of false alarms.
