World of BMW Pyrenees trip Oct 17th

Is anybody booked on the World of BMW Pyrenees trip next week?

Would you like to ride down to Plymouth together?

I intend to set off from Nottingham about 6.30am on the Wednesday, so if you fancy some company drop me a line.

Should you wish to break up your Plymouth journey i can 'put up' two bikes and riders.

Well Cool, just imagine if one of your fellow Scotsman was going on the trip and they wanted to stop halfway down to Plymouth - then Notts might just be a perfect place to stop!

I thought fellow GSers were meant to help each other out!

Taken in context, It was not such a strange response...

Some people read this forum with the "get latest posts" feature... If you had done that on the day in question, you would have seen 5 or 6 posts with the same title and same message inside....

It is possible that someone who was feeling a bit 'tetchy' on the day would react in such a manner, if he considered cross-posting the same message to a bunch of different forums spamming...

Now I understand that not everyone reads the board with the "get latest posts" feature, so I didn't bother commenting... but just saying...

I see now....

I use the 'get the latest post' and didnt notice that this was tied to something else as there is nothing in there to suggest it.....

Tetchy, not me I just couldn't see what the connection was....my mistake...

Easy Mistake To Make

TBH, when I saw Big Dave's posts about this in here and in other sections, my initial reaction was "spammer". However, closer reading showed the posts for what they were: genuine offers of hospitality at Dave's for anyone going on the trip who wished to team up with him.

I can see how Coolcarbon got the wrong end of the stick...

Nice to see that peace has broken out over this now
