Got a phone call from a friend who is at the WRC event asking was i out photographing, as he seen an NI reg 1200 (GIG Reg.) and the rider had a media tabard on. I assumed it was someone doing the courier for the TV crew for it definitely wasn't me, I've the Down rally to photograph tomorrow, hardly as glamourous or as warm.

Jockser, David Gibson, R2D2 and Triggerfish are down there at the moment working for WRC TV. It's not easy y'know.

I saw the cop vehicle, overtook him on the speed limit. He immediately lit his car up and I pulled into the verge where Jochen and Peter were parked up cameras at the ready. Cops said there was an oncoming car - there wasn't one anywhere close but I got a 100euro fine anyhow.
Gave Jochen and Peter something to laugh at anyhow!
COuldnt' believe it - 2 days later I was entering a stage and the cop guarding the access road was the same fecker who booked me. I tried to flip the helmet down so he wouldn't recognise me because there's a chance the credit card I gave him at the roadside won't have worked
We'll see how that goes....
