Dear all,
With Christmas round the corner it was today time again to ensure that those less fortunate than myself are being looked after for Christmas too.
Every year now the bikers of southern England meet in Reading for the annual Toy
Run and I have been part of this for over a decade now.
So I prepped my trusted XR400 and packed some toys and dressed accordingly at set off at lunch to get to the starting point.
A short 10 mile ride and I was amongst hundreds of fellow riders at the start.
Along the closed roads are thousands of spectators and family's with their kids to cheer us all on. Its really awesome! A friend even manage to spot me in the line of bikes...
Once we arrived at Barnados school in Wokingham its time to park the bikes and deliver the presents...the length of the queue was a first hint of things to come....
The queue got even bigger! But I manage to deliver the 3 presents I had bought. Than i had a coffee and chatted to a few other riders...
Finally this ride today was special as it was an Official Guinness World Record and therefore I am along with 1734 bikers a World Record holder!
So a great day out for a great cause! Next year I will be back, for sure!
Merry Christmas!
Lars
