worn out grips, anyone got a left side ?

This is what a throttle grip looks like with 140K up it,

After a good left hand if anyone got one kicking about ?.

No point on that one, but some snooker cue heat shrink sleeve will protect the grip rubber without compromising comfort etc. The rubber remains as new underneath.

Motorworks sell new grip rubbers without all the costly other stuff that BMW throw in.
 
I too was going to mention Grip Puppies as a useful bearer, but perhaps the OP is suggesting the heating element has failed judging by the exposed wire??
 
Christ I had to replace mine at 40K and I thought they were bad. You must have the grip of a blacksmith to twist that throttle.

Nope element is good, although it is hot where its exposed.
 
Cricket bat handle rubber. £1.99 from Amazon. Cut to length and stretch over existing grips.
I did this as it made standard grips a tiny bit fatter. Went for black with little nibbles!

It’s not much help with badly worn grips but as BuMW charge £200 for a pair of grips it makes very good sense from new.
I used snooker cue heat shrink sleeve does the same job.
