worn rear tyre?

i'm in the throws of getting geared up to head to Mongolia and Siberia in a few weeks. one of the headaches is trying to work out tyres and where to change them etc. i've a new set of conti-trail attacks ordered which i was going to use to get me to kazakhstan, but it will be a shame to dump a set of tyres with 3500-4000 miles on them. the heidi's on my bike at the moment would get me to london but no further. so, does anyone have a 17" rear (think it's the same size for 800 as the 1200) with about 3k miles left that's lying around their garage and they are up for parting with for a few quid (or charity? i have a well-used front TKC to partner it with but it doesn't matter what kind of tyre it is as it's all tarmac. if so and you're planning to attend the nw200 this sat, i could almost certainly relieve you of it. thanks.

Have a rear tourance i took of before i went to spain as i thought it wouldnt do the distance.20 squid if u want it .I live in portglenone and am coming home tonight for the wkend.can measure thre tread depth but i think it would do ur job.ta

Joe and Merv, Spikerjack (Jed) has kindly given me a pretty good rear tourance so I'll not need yours. Actually, I think I'll just bang on the new trail-attacks and either dump them if i ride them to the end of kaz, or take off in volgograd and pick up on my return. thanks for the help though
