WOW!!Saw this at Bahnstormers.....

For what it's worth: Don't get your hopes up too high for the Desierto III's quality of wind/ turbulance protection..

It's crap: No better then the standard screen with an add on spoiler.

But the looks though.. ;)

So, I took my 1150 GSA SE in to Bahnstormers today for a 12000 mile service. The guys took it in pretty much straight away which left me a total of 4 hours to have a look around.....This is what I came across, and was blown away..... Absolutley stunning and beautifully put together. Anyway I decided to speak to the sales guys to find out the cost. On top of the 10.5k for the standard 1200GS the extra Touratech parts add up to a grand total of 3500 PLUS VAT.....£14500 in total:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I told John how great I thought it looked and that I had only recently bought my bike. John took a look at it and then advised that he would give me 7K for it on a part ex.....:eek:

Oh dear another dilema:blast:blast

Beautiful bike but i couldn't justify paying 14.5k for it........

BTW the service i received from Bahnstormers was fantastic.... Vines is closer for me but after today I'll be heading back to Alton every time:thumb2

It looks like a tart's handbag.
This tarting up of bikes is like as insidious cancer.
Harleys have long been infected.
It was a sad day when Ducati fell foul.
Now it seems GSs are going the same way.
Hopefully the price will keep the numbers to a minimum.

Most striking thing to me is the DESIERTO III "screen". Taking into account it retails at £425 on TT's UK site or £345 on their German one I'd just go for that rather the the £3500 all singing version.

It's different but not £14,000 plus

If i had to buy a 12 GS i think i'd have to buy The Mill's version ( Sunderland ) :)

There take on the Explorer ......................................... :eyesdown
