Paid £17k (no finance) for a new GSA TE (included Ackra Silencer and Nav6) this April and think that would be the financial ceiling for me for a bike like this.
Can’t think of any other bike I would rather do my trips on and hey it’s only money.

as much as I like the rallye think I'll be keeping my current bike at them prices.
I really don't understand the logic of pricing, approx 2000+ less parts than most top end family cars and yet the same price???

I have a 2008 GSA, full luggage set and a few Touratech extras on it when bought with 28k miles for less than £8k 17 months ago, it’s immaculate , now done 39k miles, Regular service, clean it after ever trip or weekly if bumbling around and commuting, ACF etc I have added additional spots , sergeant seats , Akrapovic can, Garmin sat nav , all bought on this parish, total cost still less than £10k, the most expensive and indulgent purchase was a Nitron rear shock. So I reckon I have a do anything, go anywhere bike with as much trimmings as I want.
It leaves , arrives and is just as good a ride, maybe better in some respects than the overpriced new models I happen to be with
No way would I spend the cash BMW are asking, if I was to change out, I would do the same again.

I actually agree with this statement.
I've also got a Bandit 1250 Streetfighter with Givi Panniers. Cost me £3,500 total.
It's taken me on road tours, Sunday blasts, adventuring, all with my mates and we've had good fun.
You don't need a £20k bike to live your dream.
Lights on my Bandit cost £9.99 compared to £400 on BMW.
Heated Grips on my Bandit cost £45 compared to £300 on BMW.
Gullible Twats is exactly right, but if you have the money...... It's also a nice experience. But no better in reality if its sat in the garage not being used.

Bugger all wrong with a PcP, I get a new bike for an amount of money I don't miss each month and swap it out for a new one every few years.
Works for me.

I reckon my next two wheel purchase will be a rotovator, put a wooden seat on it with a couple of wheelbarrow wheels and off to the local bar we go.....No warranty, no insurance, no tax, no licence required......No fucking worry and it will dig up yer numerous veg patches to grow yer own food......Seems a fucking cracking deal to me

No you have to be awake to what really makes you happy. You'd be surprised how simple it is if you had the bollocks to do it.
Do stuff that makes you happy, not what you think makes other people happy, and stop testing yourself on other peoples standards and achievements. It'll hold you back.
If you had no idea of the latest marketing trivia, and no idea of what the people around you were doing, you're ambitions and life targets would be very different and very simplistic.
