Hi,
I am from Newfoundland, Canada. My wife and I are wondering about the possibility of purchasing tickets to Wrexham vs Doncaster, September 9th? I checked the Wrexham site and the tickets are not listed yet? Does anybody know how we can get tickets or know of anyone selling them?
Thanks,
Kelly

In all honesty i would be surprised if you cant just buy tickets on the day unless you are looking for hospitality package etc

Doncaster Rovers dont have a big traveling fan base ( it isnt bad but not huge) and at home games the DRFC stadium is rarely full

Not sure how big the Wrexham ground is.

I used to be a season ticket holder at DRFC and if i still was could have got you tickets but i stopped going when they became very very shit and now just pay attention to the games

If you really struggle nearer the time shout up as i still know a few season ticket mugs

I assume because of your location you have chosen Wrexham because of Ryan Reynolds

Looking at their ground (capacity of c 10500) and their average attendance increasing....
19-20 - 4000,
21-22 - 8600,
22-23 - 10000,
I'd imagine all home games are going to be sell outs, there's bound to be someone on here from that neck of the woods who'll have a better idea I suppose.

Yes, Ryan Reynolds did come into play! Although we are huge hockey fans (especially my wife who cheers loudly for Montreal Canadians) but we have always wanted to watch professional football live. (soccer in Canada but what do we know!)
We will be in the Shropshire area for a bit and thought we would take in a game. I will be heading to Ireland after to pick up my bike and ride for a bit.

We live not too far from Wrexham. Our son has been trying to get tickets for a home game.
Impossible.
The transformation of the club and its impact on the town (which has little else going for it) has been a real feel-good story.

£30 to become a member for priority to purchase tickets seems the only way other than a season ticket

I am happy to hear the club is doing well! I will also check into the priority member idea. I will also watch here to see if anyone has other ideas. I appreciate your replies! I have driven through Wales a couple of times on bike and it is a lovely country!

Shrewsbury (Shropshire) are at home on the 9th, playing Bolton.

That’s a great idea to see Shrewsbury play. I am not familiar with the tier system for football so wasn’t sure there was a team there.
I will watch for when tickets go on sale.
Thanks

Unfortunately the Hollywood effect has turned Wrexham into a very fashionable soccer club, long gone appear to be the days when you could just turn up & pay at the gate.
The BBC have a good website which allows you to look at fixtures throughout the leagues on any given date. It's not up to 9th September yet but could be worth keeping an eye on to see what takes your fancy.
Wales is okay but Ireland is stunning - might I recommend the Wild Atlantic Way & Co. Donegal in particular?
Have a great trip & stay safe.

Oh, and Go Bruins!

My bike is stored in Kinsale, Ireland and I have travelled the Wild Atlantic Way. It’s fantastic! I also loved the west coast of Scotland! Now that I am retired I plan to cross the water to ride at least once a year. Europe/UK has a lot to offer in riding!
Thanks for the football info!

I asked my mate who has followed Wrexham for years, what the chances of getting 2 tickets for a home game ,even as a member its tough, membership running at 10,000 and he says they ballot 800 tickets for home game members, the rest go to season ticket holders.

I have a number of friends that are season-ticket holders there and whilst they can’t help what they have confirmed is there is an overseas membership. Not the standard UK one and that has a number of tickets that are never taken in full any week. So sign up for the overseas membership not the UK and the chances are you will easily get a ticket for your dates.

Thank you for this information as it is much appreciated! I am wondering if I can buy 2 tickets with one membership or would I need 2 memberships? I may have to contact them.

I am sure you can buy two tickets on one membership

So, no luck with Shrewsbury or Wrexham tickets so far. Have to buy 2 separate international memberships to get access to those tickets And no guarante. Going to be in Shrewsbury September 7-14, Bath 14-18, London 18-22. Would like to take in a game somewhere if possible if anyone can make a suggestion?
If no luck, no problem and thank you for your previous responses.
