Anyone know where you buy the flat clip for the throttle to rest your wrist on on long journeys?

Brother in law is a courier and has terrible tennis elbow in right arm (NOT caused by another activity - shame on you!)

Cheers all

M&P have one http://www.mandp.co.uk/list.aspx?tier1=Bars+And+Rests&tier2=Bars+&+rests+other&tier3=On+2+Wheels

Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cramp-Buster-...ryZ25626QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I use something similar. It's great on long journeys on the GS. I wouldn't use it around town as it would get on my nerves, so probably not much use for a inner city courier. It's only a fiver though, so worth a punt to see if it helps the crip^^^^disabled person.

Rest

Wessie - he's a long distance courier based in Poole - off to Newcastle at 4-pm the other Friday!

Thanks for the other links

Got one this week from Hein Gericke.....6.99.

I'd imagine any branch would keep them.

i have been using one for a couple of years , a top bit of kit it takes a time to get it in the right place, but it does really help.. :thumb

I got one from HG, and although I found it good on long trips - I found it an absolute hazard in town.

In combination with the indicator cancel button - it compromised throttle control on exiting roundabouts and junctions.

I know - I should just leave the indicator going until it self-cancels.

I was a bit worried about the thing getting in the way as well but (although I've only hadit a couple of days) I've found I can rotate it around to point downwards when in town and it doesn't get in the way at all.....then on the M'Way I can spin it back up to a good cruising position for long high speed slogs.

Next week will be a good test of it ;)

I had one on my Blackbird for a while.

Worked well, until the point I got it caught in the cuff of my jacket. Then I junked it.

Been using mine all winter and I find it helps ALOT! I have severe pain in my wrists after about 60 miles normally. With it, it takes quite awhile longer before the pain becomes a problem

Sounds like you may well need some bar risers ;)

Seriously.

In your normal sitting position on the bike, how straight is the line down the back of your arm to the back of your hand (looking from the side if ya see what I mean) ???

I had one but chickened out because I was afraid it would shag the heated grips? Anything to fear?

Put a condom on it first :D :D :D

I'd go along with that, although for a different area. I used to get a pain between the shoulder blades after an hour or so, but now I have bar risers it seems to have gone. It only moves the bars by a bit, but it seems to make all the difference.

I have had no problems with my Aerostich version :thumb

I tried one and found it got in the way to much. Best throttle side mod ever has to be my throttle lock thingie. Means I can take my right hand of the bars and move my wrist around without slowing down. :thumb

My arms are fairly straight, not enough to be locking my elbows reaching for the handgrips.
I have broken my wrists repeatedly (I have severe osteoperosis) Bar height wont help lol quit riding is docs advice.......... fat chance :D Does not matter what I am riding or driving, still get the pain. With the attachment on.......... I can turn my whole hand sideways, which seems to help the wrist pain.
