OK folks, thanks for the offers but, having thought a bit about it I'm looking for something small ish as space to keep it was why i had to get rid of the GS in the first place so it will have to live in the corner of my unit which is already tight.

So something naked or small preferred. Probably 800cc ish size. Obviously I'm not expecting any of these but to give some sort of idea on size etc

there is no such thing as a " cheap" bike.

That reminds me of the following sign in a mates workshop regarding service tiers:
