WTF?? Can't see any detail on Mapsource

As part of re-installing windows on my PC - I re-installed Mapsource (6.14.1)

I re-installed the maps and unlocked them.

However I can't get any detail at all. I even managed to pursuade the ** search to find the road I'm going to tomorrow, but I can't see it on the screen.

It looks a bit like I'm looking at the base map (err does mapsource have that or just the GPSR units), but the base map can't know about Wern Fawr Lane surely?
