I have used Wunderlich levers on all my previous bikes - for me, they are a great modification. I have waited for the GSA LC levers until today when I checked the Wunderlich site for colour options. The price quoted on the Wunderlich site is €119 per lever plus postage - about £85 at todays exchange rate. However, you can't buy direct from Wunderlich and have to pay £114 per lever from UK dealers albeit with free postage. How can this vast difference be justified? In so many areas we in the UK are asked to pay much higher prices than are available on th einternet - however, in Wunderlich's case, they are actively preventing us from accessing the lower prices available direct from their own website. Poor show Wunderlich - great gear but poor show !

They should have a stripey jumper on and a mask asking they prices. Simple don't buy them.

Unfortunately it's the 20% vat & import duty that's applied to them at customs, I ordered approx a grand worth of items from Revzilla & the duty came to £250 to be Paid directly to uk customs.. (Thought I got away with it but NO way)

I thought if you bought stuff in one EU country, it already had VAT applied at the point of sale, and a second VAT charge couldn't be applied to the same item (provided the VAT rate was the same in both countries) ?

Revzilla is US-based, so those goods would have come in from outside the EU. Wunderlich's UK dealers can charge what they want (or can get away with).

Have a look for an EU shop that stock Wunderlich products and buy from them. Just a thought. Pricing in the UK is crazy. I have just bought Castrol Power 1 Racing 4T 5W-40 from Germany 8 litres and the price including VAT and shipping worked out at £7.77 / litre. Took 5 days from order to front door. I think BMW charge something like £18 - £19.

It doesn't matter where the country of manufacture is, it's duty paid at point of sale to a customer.
Reckless quoted a price in Euros .....

Yes, Reckless did, and that's generally right but snaponphil said:

And you replied to him:

So Reckless wouldn't have duty & VAT applied on an EU purchase, but snaponphil would on an out-of-EU purchase (if it exceeded whatever the thresholds are).

Anyway, however you look at it Wunderlich's suppliers can charge whatever they think customers will pay!
