Wunderlich Cylinder Mounted Mud flaps.........a question?

I have a set already and they were fitted to my single spark GS1150...............
So when I tried to re-fit onto my new Twinspark 1150GS...........they didn't bloody well fit...............due to the different type of twinspark plastic cylinder head guards and some earthing type wires that run between the cabling in and around that area.............

Now do Wunderlich do 2 different types...........for Twinsparks and Single spark GS1150's................or should these fit............with a bit of manipulation............??????????

OK I'll go now and stop hi-jacking the thread but ya gotta be impressed with the persitance :D

Oh Judge..............can't blame you for trying..........

Haven't tried to fit the Corbin yet............so watch this space..........but the Ohlins are just fine.............

There maybe a few leftovers from the swap..............appearing for sale.......but can't get these footflaps to mount up...........bloody annoying!!!!!!!!!

Johnny. I put some Wunderlich ones on a few weeks back. My bikes a twinspark but I never specified single or twin (never knew thee might be a difference). Mine fitted fine.

You gonna post a pic as wunderlich may have changed the
design to accomodate both single + twin spark ;)

Johnny. A couple of pictures. Took one off so you can see what the current Wunderlich one looks like. The spacer is about 0.5 inches long. Do you have that with yours?

I'll also post one of it fitted but I don't think that tells you too much. Let me know if you need anymore.

Mine are the same (with spacers)...............now I will try to fit............it was just on offering up they didn't seem to want to fit.
Spoke to SPC and they confirm that there's only one model of flaps for all bikes.............

Johnny. It was the same with me... when I looked at how they would fit BEFORE I undid the original bolts I had doubts over how it would fit.
But once I came to actually did it and had the original bolts out, all fitted exactly right, with no problem.

Well they didn't bloody well fit...................
Had to take off Twinspark engine guards off and cut a small piece of the back corner off and file off the edges,so they would line up fine..............still it was no bother and turned out a neat job...........
I think mines different as I have a take-off post for jumpstarting the bike from (as explained by Steve @ Rainbow yesterday)........because we looked at a Twinspark 03 GSA there and mine's different from that being an 04 model and has a few subtle changes to the wiring around the head and plugs..........
