Has anyone fitted a Wunderlich foldable headlight guard to a R1250GS that has BMW auxiliary fog lights already fitted?

The instructions that come with the guard only cover fitting without fog lights. Can’t seem to find anything else on Google or YouTube

I’ve looked under the ‘beak’ and the mount for the fog lights run across the width and covers the access to the lower mounting bolts for the guard. I can’t seem to see how you detach the fog light mount.

If anyone has had experience of doing this can you let me know what you did, if it required different bolts from the ones on the bike and the ones Wunderlich supplied, and if it’s an absolute faff!

I thought this was going to be relatively straightforward but I’m thinking now its going to require taking loads of the fairings off and possibly buying longer bolts to accommodate the mounting of the fog lights and guard.

I've got the foldable Wunderlich headlight guard on my 2019 R1250GS admittedly not with the aux fog light bar but with SW-Motech upper crash bars (which basically mount the same as fog light bar, which I had to remove to fit the upper bars, and have a bracing bar that spans across below the beak). Bit late to go in the garage this evening but I'll have a look tomorrow and maybe take a few pictures.

From memory, yep, its a bit of a strip down, the panel over the tank has to come off, as do the 2 tank sides and the beak so you can get to the lower mounting bolts of the spot mount and mount the foldable guard, from start to finish probably about 1.5 hours to do. Let me check tomorrow when its daylight and I'll get back to you

Thanks for replying last night regarding this.

I’ve done a bit more research via Tinterweb and YouTube and found GSD321 has an instruction video from 4 years ago on this very issue which it seems Nippy Norman’s asked him as a lot of people have had this issue.

To save time for anyone like me researching it via this forum here is the link:
