Wunderlich Heated GSA seat

I believe Corbin may do one, but usually mega money...

Yeah, I like the idea of heated seat but honestly, I've managed years without one.

Heated grips have been my life saver, but not sure if heated seat is a luxury I don't need.

Undecided.

My wife wants a heated pillion seat for the GS, she keeps getting us to test bikes where you can get one

Indeed. Any weather that isn't sunny and 30 degrees my wife won't come out to play anyways.

So 90% of UK riding I'm solo.

I am always amazed how cold she gets just sitting there with all the layers she has on

She gets well grumpy as well when she's cold, a bit like when I am hungry lol

Are there any other good quality options?
H-H-H-H-how much

As an alternative, heated seat elements for diy fit are around £40 and work a treat.
Admittedly, the cheapy/DIY route may not be for everyone.

There is no excuse for being cold on a bike nowadays and a heated seat is a very worthwhile addition for all weather riders (and their long suffering pillions!)

what a rip off. ktm heated seats around one third of that. very useful too. I didnt think they would get used, but a great extra.

I would think heated clothing is a better option ?

Well I've always been of the opinion to wear correct clothing to keep warm, independant of electrical devices.

For years I held steadfast to this plan, mainly for when you may be voluntarily or involuntarily seperated from the bike for extended periods of time.

My back protector and heavy winter gear kept me warm whilst lying on the tarmac in the wet, after passing motorists refused to let me up until paramedics arrived to check me over. To be fair my bike was 25 meters away after we had a disagreement on traction during a fast left hand sweeper.

But heated grips I wouldnt be without now.... old age is setting in....

I see what you're saying but it is the 21st century and we should use all the tools available to us, would you feel the benefit of a heated seat through your winter gear ?

Same as Warlord, I also have the same opinion BUT old age IS setting :rob and the idea of a heated seat is very appealing. Riding all year round on the current GSA is not as comfortable in winter as the RT I had, which with a flick of a switch your core was warmed....Its amazing what a difference it makes (old age or not) :rob

Hey I'm 100% into gadgets and tech. My home is keyless and Voice Controlled with over 50 connected devices. Love it.

So it's definately something I'm interested in. When its -10 outside Ive had ice forming on my arms, chest and brake levers in the past. So anything heated is welcome.

However all the heated stuff tends just to tell me where the cold spots are. Like my feet!!

Heated stuff fitted to the bike is always there and doesn't need unplugging every time you get off. An advantage to me as I hate fannying about with wires & stuff.

Heated jacket, heated seat & heated grips all for under £100 - why get cold?

Hi Steve,
Here's an alternative for you.
Theres a Corbin DIY heated seat kit for $200, but far more reasonable is £39 for what looks like exactly the same kit, probably a rip off by Corbin's Chinese suppliers??

Ebay item 331025275377

Hi Phil,
Being a gadgety type of guy, I thought of getting one but I'm v happy with me thick sheepy seat cover which would kind of make the heating element a tad pointless.

Now will Apple put this pic up the right way or not?
