I have just coughed £350 for a superlow seat to fit my 1150 Adventure..
After fitting it as per the German instructions there is a 20mm gap between the tank and the seat and it looks really bad. The pic in Wunderlich catalogue looks as if it fits well. Has any one out there got the same type of seat and had (or not) similar problems?

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
Nick

Welcome to the world of Wunderlich - overpriced, underquality and sh*te service.
Send it back then have a run to Sheffield with the original seat, visit Sheffield Retrimmers off Attercliffe Common and Mick there will do a better and tailored for you job.
Probably ready quicker than a Wunderlich order as well!
Suppose we all learn the hard way at times - bad luck as JB says

Nick,
I experienced the same with a W'lich seat on my 1200 (large gap).
Take it off and raise all the four retaining pins by one slot. The fit (on the 1200) is very snug with very little gain in seat height. Hope this works (hope it's the same 4 post design on the 1150 actually).

NICK: I have been very happy with the low "Ergo" seat on my 1200GS, but cannot comment on whether your seat is the same design. However, I paid considerably less as I have a german friend who gets me stuff direct from Wunderlich rather than paying the not inconsiderable mark-up of the UK importer...... The problem is they have an agreement with the latter which they say prevents them from supplying direct to the UK, I get the impression when talking to them that they are not particularly comfortable with the disparity of pricing... What they DID offer me though was to supply the seat (made to order) on a sale or return basis; that they would offer a refund if the seat was felt to be unsuitable. Surely if Wunderlich offer this, then the UK importer must do so! If the latter proves to be unhelpful, you could try getting in touch with Wunderlich in Germany who I have always found to be very helpful. If you have no joy, get in touch as I speak fluent german and could speak to the helpful guy with whom I have dealt with in the past.

Wunderlich

So thanks for all the comments guys. Its going back I think!
Shame because I liked the look of the seat.

Guess I could save some more pocket money and buy a Corbin?
What do you think?

Why spend more (loads) of money on another overpriced seat when you can have the one you've got tailored to your design for a fraction of the cost?

Sherpa ;)
