Have searched and read all the threads but need some help please. Has anyone actually put this combination on their 05 R12GS? Mine is an '05 non-ABS model. These risers raise the bars 30mm and can move them back 0, or 16 or 32mm back as you choose.
I have the bits and tried a dry run mounting the risers with the OEM bars to check for issues before sticking the AX bars on. Things seem tight using the middle position on the risers.
I am getting ready to install the full kit now but am looking for install tips. Specificially, when using the middle of the three front-to-back riser positions has anybody has had problems turning the bars to to left lock position, e.g. does the front brake line bind on the top of the right fork tube? Anyone needed to install a longer line, or, are there good work-arounds for this? Re-routing? Tecnique? Also whether when going to right full lock near the clutch cable bind on top of the fork tube at the full lock position? Any throttle cable stretching issues? All help much appreciated. :)

Really? Is there nobody out there who has tried this combination before? Will give it a while yet but meantime will order a longer top front brake line just in case...... :reynolds

I had that problem with the Nippy Norman set back raisers, i removed the front brake and master cylinder and rerouted it between the top yoke and tank bit of a fiddle to get through the gap bit it does go. Another problem will be if you also fit a tank bag, full left lock will sound the horn. I did not bother getting a longer brake line because i did not need it after i moved the brake leaver, i think off hand the NN setbacks were 20mm up and 30 back.

I have the Wunderlich risers with the standard bars in the rear poistion. The clutch cable is fine but there was no way the brake line was long enough so had it replaced.
