Dropped into Chiswick Honda today to kick some tyres (as you do on a lazy, sunny Sunday).. I met 2x separate riders who were there to replace stolen X-ADV bikes, each if which had been removed in broad daylight by means of the use of a van and each rider being certain that they had been under some surveillance for the speed of the Thefts to have occurred. These new purchases will be enabled by insurance pay-out.

That's just 1 hour at 1 dealer in London on a very quiet day.

When I was at the same dealership 18 months ago to look at ADV 350 bikes, the salesman at that time cautioned me about the rate of thefts of X-ADV machines in London.

That’s why I got rid of my ADV 350. Couldn’t leave it anywhere even though it has a shad scooter lock on it ( an obvious visual deterrent)

You can see why the thieves like them, look smart, fast , easy to ride one handed or footed and great storage. Im sure Tmax owners in the smoke struggle to hang on to their bikes

I've just traded my Forza 350 for a new ADV350. My rational is that Forza 350's are being stolen to be cloned as 125's by delivery riders wanting to improve their delivery rates. The ADV350 doesn't have a 125 version to clone to so will hopefully not suffer the same fate

I hope you’re right, but I suspect not.
Please, please, please…..spend a bit of money security. My recommendation would be for the Shad scooter lock
A good bit of kit

It’s got a 150 version though

The litelok x3 is fab for stopping them grinding through.
£280 but well worth it. Since my beemer was nicked (a year ago today) the lock stays on all the time when not in use.
