i have a lovely as new x challenge with it came a scorpian oval s/s exhaust...too loud so put on the standard immediately... just wondered apart from the noise and less weight does the pipe change the performance in any way....still wintry up here so havent really had a run on the bike yet.....opinions please...thanks

I reckon the bike is faster with the stock pipe
Nothing definite, just seat of the pants & measuring speedo on same bit of road

Works differently when used in conjunction with foam air filter and pre-filter and top air box cover removed.

Better performance in my opinion.

Probably no difference with mine, so I have left the Scorpion in the shed for a few years.
A loud exhaust soon grinds you down and that is after you have already ground down the other members of your riding troop.
What I have done too is cut open a stock pipe and remove the cat honeycomb. I think it has help with the 'just off tickover' stalling that I experienced a while back.
The bike has run well with it since.... so far!

I had all that done to mine too

Scorpion is way too loud though

Although I also have the remus front pipe and my tailpipe is the Leovince which comes with 3 different baffles.
I have the quietest baffle in. I don't like a noisy exhaust either.

I tried a scorpion can a few years back, after 5 minutes the noise became really irritating. If anything I think the bikes performance was reduced with this on.

Currently running a remus header with standard de catted can, seems to be a good compromise.
