Another couple of questions for you, wheel bearings I think it's called the Cush bearing the spacer type thing in the middle does it come out:confused:,
Also the other bearing I've looked on line and they don't seem come with the seals can I get them in a kit?

Unfortunately my bike is up in a mate's garage for storage at the mo so I can't measure it. However, the receipt from PACE reads "W2R12.7TL365SH145" with a J/N of 42259. I'm guessing it is the smaller of the two, but can't confirm at the mo.

Good luck with the swing arm bearings; worth checking and or sorting when you're stripping it down. I've just picked up another XC so it's a job I've got on my TTD list, and am not looking forward to it after my last one(!)

I've posted up re bearing kits on your other thread.

Thanks a lot GFJ I appreciate your help, this has just thrown a spanner in the works regarding rad, a local company have come up with a price of £280 + vat but to copy the rad exactly but with a better flow, now I'm thinking what's diffrence between the two.

This is the rad my mate has just brought, it's not perfect yet the spout at the bottom of the right hand side of the rad is being moved to the under side of the rad, it's 10 mm thicker than the bmw rad, the price was £312.00 inc vat

Hi teebee
My mate has just fitted one that cost him 312 inc vat county radiators southend on sea essex, I'm going down to see him to order one myself my pals rad was the proto type really, a couple of adjustments it should work a treat also I've found a guy to fabricate rear subframe £ 250 he reckons !!

Rad finally done I ended up paying £350+ vat it's slightly thicker than the original and has a thicker core so fingers crossed no more over heating !!!!

I think Timpo had a batch of radiators made a while ago that were larger and full with. not sure where they were made:thumb2

Yes he did by pace radiators I was going to have one but they was pricey, I found a company local to me that could do it a bit cheaper, I like the look of your xc rocky I think I'm going for the x tank how do you find the tt tank ?

I like it.. it's a bit heavy in the sand when full, but you get to the stage where you know what milage you can get on the standard tank...And up till now I have never run out..
Great in Morocco last year though.

Not sure if we discussed this, but when i last did mine, i knocked the bush out from inside the bearings using a suitable socket. Did this before removing the circlip so the bearings stayed in the sprocket carrier, then pop circlip out and remove bearings as you have done. Reassemble in reverse :)

I've done it used the same method but f##k knows what I've done with the circlip:blast
