After trawling the countless websites of screens for sale, I still haven't got a clue which one to choose, so was looking for a bit advice I'm 6 ft 2 I will be touring and trail riding any ideas guys, also pegs The standard ones are to narrow for my great big plates of meat, so was thinking maybe pivot pegs ? I've got fastaway pegs on my 800 and can stand on them all day if need be. But haven't seen them available for the xchallenge ,

I put the Wunderlich screen on my wife's Country, but she is quite short. If you want a full conversion/protection, the rallye fairing setup from Hotrod is good and is what I put on my challenge.

As for the Pivot pegz, I use the mk3's but did not find them too comfortable to stand for long periods. I bought, for touring only, the removable pivot pegz extensions from CJ Designs. This makes for very comfortable standing. I don't keep them on all the time because I am short and they ground on corners during aggressive (fun) riding. This setup is not cheap though and I think for your height, there are better options out there.

I've only seen the pivot pegs I haven't seen the extensions for them, do you know of any other makes?, I'm going out to holland on the 11th of March to buy some goodies from Erik , I've seen the fairing set up but with all the expense I can't warrant spending any more at the mo.

That's quite a big screen I spotted a givi screen today I thought might do a job but I'm not completely sure it will fit I'm going to take the bike down to the shop and see if I can make it work.

I live about 30 mins South of Erik, just off the A4 around The Hague. Give me a shout closer to the time and maybe we can meet up? Pity 11th is mid week though.

I've got one of these: http://www.parabrisascurtain.com/shop/g-650-x-challenge-90234-dakar-pay.htm

Made a huge difference and made the 2000+ miles of the trip last year to do the Hard Alpi Tour bearable. Easily adjustable, I guess my only gripe would be it could've been a touch higher for me personally as, if I held a flat hand up in front of my chin-piece whilst riding I could hear and feel the difference. Massive improvement over nothing at all though, and for €80 delivered you can't go too far wrong what with the exchange rates as they are. Delivery was surprisingly fast too considering it came from Argentina!

Lots of pics of it on the bike here

Thanks guys my mate has one of those screens il have a go on his great pics by he way robster, how do you find the touretech tank off road ? Thanks mike il give you a shout, we couldn't get in at hypro at the weekend, I've fitted the shock but am going to have it serviced after we have been to Erik .

TT Tank is great, cant say I notice any weight or balance differences at all really and, now that's it's all plumbed in it's easy to take on and off if you want to revert to "slimline mode" for whatever reason!

Interested in the Hyperpro shock myself - did you buy one "off the shelf" from a reseller over here or direct from Bas? Fed up with the constant adjustment of the air shock, I can never really find the sweet spot and don't even talk to me about how saggy-arsed it was on that trip with all the luggage on! The shock is right up the top of my "to-do" list now and I'd love to get over to see Bas and have the front (already got Hyperpro springs up front) and back suspension looked at together but, with a new baby 3 months away, I don't think I'll manage a trip over to the Netherlands anytime soon, so I'd be looking at buying and fitting myself. That doesn't phase me too much, it's more the setup that seems to be a bit of a black art!

I'm planning to go over with the XCountry soon. Trip to Erik to get Shivers forks and clamps reworked then trip to Bas for front and rear Hyperpro fitting.

+1 for the parabrisas; great value, well madeeasy to fix and very effective. I am only 6'1 though

I brought mine over here second hand, I've fitted it my self tool it out Sunday it felt great compared to the air shock ,fitting was easy, I'm going to Erik for a tank and rack so figured while I'm there I may as well get my shock serviced and set up for me also I need the adjuster.
