X challenge shifter

Hey guys I know it's been discussed loads but am I missing something, I just brought f 650 shifter and it doesn't seem to fit , have any of of you guys that have fitted them adapted them 1st mine would sit to low under the casing ??

Just fitted a genuine F650GS (or maybe G650GS) shift lever to a XCountry - no modification required. I know what you mean though - ended up having to fit it such that the tip sits a bit higher than standard.

Really I'm wondering wether I have the right one then, the one I brought from motoworks is more or less dead straight it's impossible to fit where it should go, the only place it will fit I reckon is lower in which case it will be lower than the engine casing.

Sounds like the wrong one as the f650 GS one is curved

The proper one fits perfectly
