Are you all set now for the March Moon at the weekend?
Pretty much sorted now..........bashplate fitted, new tyres, battery and new speedo

Hi there i'm new to the forum but i've been having the same problem re starting and i'm guessing its that the battery is weak that is causing it to fail to start as i have the new battery but had the starting fault after a short ride 
BUT the battery was a bit low on charge so i reckon thats it,
btw did anyone get a difinitive answer re charging through the socket or direct, i presume the optimate is a bmw item and that an oxford trickle/batt optimizer will work just as well if connected by socket or direct ?

Lidl charger on Xc
Been charging my battery thro aux for 12mths + now, the electronic chargers dont give an output until you manually select the charging from the device so no sparks!
Surely the aux socket by definition has stuff plugged in to it , whatever your pluggin in may allready be switched on and give a slight spark?
