Just fitted a Airblade Tall Boy Fly Screen to my X Country to offer some protection to my Sat Nav. Cost about £35 and I think it looks okay....
Had to modify the brackets slightly.

How easy was it to fit?

Does the fitting kit work?

The kit that came with it did line up very well. I hammered the brackets flat and re bent them, but they still didn't quite line up with the holes, so I added a couple of extra bits of metal strip. Not the neatest job, but worked okay as a quick fix. I'll try and add a picture of the brackets from the back later.
It wouldn't take much effort to knock up a couple of better brackets if required.

Cheers, Piggers.

Just ordered a Puig mini sports and touring screen for mine, £26 delivered.

Might be a load of rubbish for that money, but we'll see.

Unfortunately my bikes now not going to be here until next Wednesday.

PIGGERS,
Where did you get your bash plate from and what make is it please.

Bash Plate

Fortunately the previous owner had fitted it before I bought the bike...:D

I don't think I would have paid the TT price tag !!!!

In support of the large TT one I've got one fitted to my XCh and it's good though a tad expensive.

Protects the width of the engine well from anything frontal. Only thing it hasn't protected for me is a sideways fall onto the gear lever but I suppose sometimes the rocks will be there, sometimes they won't!

Did your gear lever snap ? If so it is advised that you fit an alternative that is made of bendy metal rather than the standard cast one.
I think details of it are in the sticky at the top of the section.
