X-country wiring help

I bought a tail tidy from Johnny boxer a while back for my x-country. I have now decided to fit it. I want to wire the number plate light into the back light.
I do have a service CD but a wiring diagram is not included!

Does anybody know the colours of the wires that go to the back light? So I can cut into them for the number plate light.

Does your bike have the original tail piece on it? is so that should also have a number plate light, i think i cut mine and spliced the wiring for the new tail light into the old loom here.
