Just getting hubs laced into 21 and 18 so I have a pair of 19 and 17 original rims available. Not sure what they're worth - guessing around £75 each?

Hi BBB888, I’m curious how you get on with 21 and 18 wheels. I priced front 21 with excel 2.15 wide rim using my hub, was nearly £500, bought a 21” wheel and it’s ready for swap. Previously found 21 front had sublime steering on my Dakar. Cheers

I have a quote for Excel at £780 the pair and SM Pro rims at £690 the pair - I just supply hubs. Will go SMPro as its for Long Distance Trials and a 160kg bike rather than full on 100kg enduro etc. As long as the rims are strong enough to bounce off rocks with trials tyres running low pressures all should be good. Tend to be low speed, rarely out of 2nd gear on the sections. LDTs tend to be in the colder months - Oct, Nov, Jan thru' April. So I will then switch back to the 19 and 17 for summer road use. 19 and 17 limit the tyre options, and the Michelin Anakee Wild are excellent in dry conditions and on rock, gravel but pretty sketchy on wet grass or gloopy mud.
