XR Wider Kick Stand - What are people using?

Hi everyone,

I had a nasty shock when my kickstand sank in some gravel which i thought was okay.. clearly it was not.

Feeling very fooling looking back now. So have decided to get a kick stant,

What are people using and what do you rate?

Im currently looking at the

Wunderlich

im not keen on the grub screws if im honest though.

The sw motec one is also another nice contender

The way it affixes to the stand is just rubbish ! There are 3 tiny little grub screws that hold it in place and as there is no part that fits "over" the stand it is precarious at best. I had the screws tightened as much as possible and used thread lock but the thing fell off somewhere on the M1

Dont waste your money on one

The SW motech looks a better design

It is possible that the castings on the stand have something to with it as they are not exactly brilliant are they

To be fair mine stayed on for 4 k too but came off at about 5
I should have checked it I suppose but I'm a knob

Not keen on the wunderlich one with the mega pointy grub screws (mine eat into the stand) , but that's the one I've got. It's not the best design compared the their GS ones....it half fell off, but I hadn't set off, so is waiting another go at numpty fitting.com

File the base of the stand flat, if needed, then locktite the screws and jobs a good un.

Guys, I was just about to post somfing which I need some help on (honest! - it`ll be on shortly) but I saw this.

I make a side stand plate............

I guess I`m gonna say this but reading the thread not only does mine `seem` ok (told ya i`d say that ) but it also `uprights` the bike very well too!

Just thought i`d let you know. I do make them for the lads (already sold quite a few) but of course not for Nuts

I won't be getting the wunder, and I don't mind the angle of the side stand so I'll be getting a motec one one similar

hello yep ive just ordered one because when I was in Spain last week the bike tipted over luckily I was stood next to it and got it back up

Mine has been on for nearly a year and I`m going to have to chain saw it off I think
