New to here so please don't flame me for probably asking a question that has already been asked!! I used to have an 1150 GS with a Remus exhaust and Y pipe to replace the Cat, does any one know if this is available for the 1200GS?
I have just bought an SE and would like to fit one if poss as i shall be riding a lot in town on my commute and do feel the extra little bit of noise helps to let people know you are there!!:thumb

Two things:

1 There isn't a Y piece as such for the 1200. You have to replace the whole exhaust system from the headers back to the can.

2 Be aware that '08 onward model bikes run significantly leaner than the earlier ones. Fitting a set of new headers may take the fuelling outside the parameters of the existing map in the ECU. At the very least, a dyno run to establish the air/fuel ratio would be wise. You may well find that you need to fit a Power Commander or similar device to restore the AFR to within acceptable limits.

Thanks peeps i will shop with caution!

Any ideas on how the warranty might be effected, i know when i had the y pipe the dealer was not at all bothered by the mods, but you never know and at 20k miles a year i don't want to be without it...:augie
