Yamaha FJ1200 3CV indicator problem

Right hand indicators do not work.

No indicators or repeater on the dash, L/h indicators working fine.

I can hear the relay clicking when the R/H is switched on, but, no indicators!

Any ideas chaps?

Possibly related to me removing the fairing and silicone greasing all the connector blocks, but, why would only one side work?

I had something simalar on my FJ1200. Another thing it did was make the fuel guage overread when the indicator was on.
Turned out to be a bad earth on the front pilot light.

checked the earth on the rear indicator, that was OK. I thought I'd look at the switchgear, looked in there. Poked the multimeter around... relay started working, poked a bit more? WD40 sprayed. hey Presto. indicators working.

More WD40 dispensed, all put back together.

Good news. Took me a long time to work out where the problem was as well because, like you, as soon as I started looking for it the problem just disappeared.
