This is my third one in the last several years. I have an addiction.

Yamaha’s ubiquitous classic single that was reintroduced to the UK market in 2014 with injection. If you don’t know, the SR400 was produced in Japan for decades.

174KG wet.

Kick start only, however with the injection it starts no more than second kick if from absolute cold and first time if warm.

This bike has just over 5k on the clock and I picked it up in September from a dealer near Blackburn. I am the third owner. It originally came from Woodford motorcycles in London.

Upon receiving it I gave it a service, oil, new K&N oil and air filters.
Tappets checked (right in the middle)
New gasket for oil filter cover. New o rings for rocker covers etc.

I had a nicely modded rocker oil feed that I had from my first SR and never fitted. Now fitted with new copper washers and banjo bolts.

New Motobatt battery fitted to replace the factory original.

Mudguards have been treated underneath by a previous owner, along with a front mud flap fitted to keep crud at bay.

Bike is in excellent condition, as expected and always gets comments when out and about.

An added extra is a hepco and Becker rack and panniers and top box.

Some spares to go with the bike, genuine washers, fuel hose clips and fuel tap hose.

Selling because another bike came up that I don’t want to miss, even though I’ll regret it getting rid of this.

Pictures to follow, the attached picture is my previous one with the same rack and is identical in colour scheme, just for some context.

£3500 with the luggage.

Located North Wales not far from Chester.

I am happy to take a small cc machine, if cheap and cheerful, in PX if you want to offload something else, as I have a soft spot for small capacity machines.

Ben.

Lovely looking bike in great condition. And a grease nipple on the rear hub!

That is a little beauty, I had a couple of 500's back in the day (45+ years ago), such easy starting as the injection provides would have been the stuff of dreams back then. GLWS.

My first bike was an SR250 US Custom. Great for learning on and getting through my test

Thanks. It really is a gem and if I could keep both bikes I would.

There is also a grease nipple in the tool box flap that you then put into the swinging arm bolt to grease the swinging arm.

Also Webike is a brilliant source of oem spares and the speed, price and delivery times are excellent considering they come from Japan. Far cheaper than most official Yamaha parts dealers in the UK.

Reduced to £3350 for tossers. Will be advertising elsewhere for 3500 this weekend.

Scooter/small cc contemporary considered ijbpart ex or any classic motorcycle, cash my way.
