Another of Ray’s bikes, and IMO a right corker..It’s had a new chain and sprockets, brakes fettled with new seals, a new battery, and new tyres, to be ready for the Spring 2025 riding season; which I thought for him might not happen, but it kept him happy..The bike starts and could be ridden away..

He’s owned the bike for 16 years and he knew it’s first owner, the bike was purchased from Stockport Motorcycles, a U.K. bike but has a kilometre speedo..🤔

He is looking for circa £3,000.

Definitely an 850, sharing the engine with the TDM850.
From memory all of the early bikes (introduced in 1996?) had a KM clock for some reason.
Silver frame for UK and Europe and white frame for Japan (again, from memory)

I had one, no where near as nice as this. A good Ducati alternative for sure.

First built early 95, Jap bikes had brembo brakes, carb pushers, red frame. Ive had half a dozen of these bikes, they are bloody wonderful things. Blue spot calipers fit straight on too

I never owned one but rode a friends at a track day in the late 90's. His had blue spot brakes, tweaked thundercat forks and an Ohlins shock. Lovely handling thing and embarrased a lot of bigger bikes on a 1.5mile circuit.

i nearly brought one when i worked at a Yamaha shop , lovely bikes , yet another Yamaha , underneath most peoples radar , 135 possible on the clock , flat on the tank, chasing a 916.

Back when folk didn't want Japanese twin sports bikes... Great they've endured...👍
