Yea,I'm missing the black cover too.

Checked with the Dealer yesterday and earlier models had it but mine doesn't.
The plastic black cover that fits over the fuel pump module on the top of the tank.
Hmmmm at first I thought mine had fallen off but according to the dealer micro fishe there isn't one for my year/model bike. Earlier bikes and models had this cover. Whether or not it did any good who knows...
Another cost saving measure from MBW...."Oh well"...!

it doesn't do any good anyways....

flash a hose at that area and the recesses are full in half a second.... can't be worse with the cover gone...

It's better with no cover. You can keep an eye on the contacts for corrossion etc. Just another enhancement through continuous development.
