Yellow GS 1150. High miles?????

Why wasn't the mud gaurd replaced?
Do I need one?
I must admit I never noticed.
But again this is a small thing I can cope with.
I usually ride 300mls at least on an average run when I'm off shift and do rack the miles up quickly, I put over Three Thousand miles on my Tiger in one month.
Am I doing the right thing?
I normally sell my bikes on when they get to 20,000K.
My 2006 FZS Fazer curently on 17,000K.
But it hates the wet and as I ride all year the GS seems perfect.
I know there are other bikes out there but I want one that has been ridden and loved ( I know it sound corny ).
Some bikes may have only 7,000 miles but could have been neglected.

hi billybob - some guys feel that the mud flap looks ugly on the bike and take it off to give the bike a cleaner look - in all honesty it doesn't do much anyway - i doubt whether the mud flap would be that expensive to replace - you will be able to ride the gs all day with little discomfort - at £3500 i think its a deal - if you don't eventually get on with the gs i would imagine that you could well recover that amount by selling it privately - go on man just pay up and enjoy

Did not think it needed a mudgaurd back on it looks better i think.as to wet weather it does not bother it you can still push on in the wet brill bike

Thanks for all your fantastic replies.
The Fazer forum is not this freindly.
But I will be honest and say I will have one one day but not at the minute.
I may hold out for a 1200 in my price braket and pic's will be on here quicker than a ferret doon a hole.
