Now maybe they'll rename Aldergrove and the City Airport after Himself and Robert!

Two very fitting respresentatives of Northern Ireland!

Well it seems to from here, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will for you there.

Thanks Fanum appreciate that, I hope it works for the Southern Fellers

That Tornamona Video brought back many memories

My Dad and His friends shared that boat and I had many a crackin Summer holiday staying on the boat and wandering about Peel and climbing the rocks around Fenella Beach by the castle

Anyway The Story I remember was that Joey was fryin chops in The galley at the stern in a Big Pan and when She went back on the rocks and plucked the rudder out of the Stem

He stuck his head in thru the Hatch and in a Joey Sort of a manner said "Hey Boys There's Wahter Comin in back here!"

We were on station next morning lifting bike off and My Dad's pal Archie can be seen lifting one of the bikes onto Moondancer B a 40 foot Tremlett that was the recovery boat

Some fecker stole the pan by the time they got back on station BUt it Turned up later and I was told it was on the Pub somewhere

Joey travelled on the Tornamona because initially he was doing things on a shoestring but he reckoned that she brought him Luck and from what I remember he was a creature of habit and superstition!

So when She sunk and he did So Well that Year we threatened to send him offshore in the Punt and sink it! Just to bring him luck!

There was also a Story in M.C.N about Joey and a Big white telephone i.e. the one in Tornamona's main cabin and how he lay ill for the entire crossing (in all honesty it was a Really BAD one 2 hours longer than normal) and again despite the hardship he topped the results table

A very Brave and Courageous person and One of my Idols!

UK proxy server required

if your proxy server is outside of the UK, it isn't possible to use the BBC player or any of the other UK broadcasters' player.

Some UK resident might try playing back a programme on the RTE website to see if it is blocked.
