Hey Gandan - the weather's shite but the bike's made for it - enjoy - and since you will be looking for any excuse to ride out let me know and we can meet for a beer sometime -I'm a mile or so S. of Wantage with a red 12 with 17000 miles and some tales to tell! :D All good :)

Oh and on the floor tiles question - it was at one time BMW corp policy to lay the same tiles in every showroom. Back in the 80'sthe Derby BMW dealer had them laid across rather than along the showroom when it was refurbed and they all had to come up and be relaid since lengthwise was corp policy too!!

Enjoy the bike mate, lloks the biz.

On the point of the tiles (how sad is this!) The tiles are corporate and come from Italy - whats wrong with UK slate? All BMW car showrooms use them as well and have to park the cars as if they are driving on the road ! This I'm sure will be the least helpful info you will gain today.

Cheers :thumb

:clap

Health ( and wealth ) to ride. Hope to pick up an 1150 Adv. myself this weekend.
Ride safe.

Buying advice sought

Saw the new GS graphite colour at NEC. I'm now determined to buy one. Any buying tips would be gratefully received. How far can one push the dealers, particularly at this crap time of year? Any great dealers to steer me towards in the Midlands?

Crosswinds and lorries Bah!

Thanks for the compliments and good wishes, just got back, don't know where I've been , cross winds and satanic lorry drivers caused the old rusty bullet wound to twitch a few times, but totally smitten. All I want now is in flight re-fueling! :bounce1 :bounce1 Fitted with Dunlop tyres which were superb.
Mel thanks for the offer, if I plan an outing will let you know,

cheers( ear to ear, all afternoon)

Looks like the French dealers have the same tiles but put them down in a different way - how French! And how sad are we (I)? :tosser
