Last bike: K1300 GT SE. Too fast (could have been bye bye licence, and YES THANK YOU I DO KNOW THE THROTTLE WORKS BOTH WAYS!!) far too thirsty, far far too uncomfortable after anything more than an hour, far far too vibey at a high frequency type level which left me with tingling hands and feet and a numb bum,(Park Lane london tried to fix it with a new clutch and clutch basket and new plates but in fact made it worse. I also didnt feel 100% ok with it in some corners. Oh and as an added bonus the left side handlebar switch went tits up thus stopping high beam working unless you really wanted to keep hold of the pass/flash main beam switch.

This Bike: 09 plate 1200GS with low miles, and ABS TPC ASC trip computer, heated grips, panniers of the large metal variety, and cylinder guards too!
What do I like about it, well It's not thirsty, its really quite comfortable,is completely chuckable in corners without it feeling like its gonna highside/lowside. It's got an Adventure screen too, and now that I have lowered the seat I can happily sit behind it without getting blown away by the breeze. Yes it does vibrate, but its a low frequency vibe which really doesnt bother me, and i can sit on that saddle and ride it for 2 hours (which I just did!!) without wanting to get off it and find me a box of matches or a cliff, which to be honest I was sorely tempted to do with the K13.

I absolutely love it to bits, and am going to take the opportunity to be out on it whenever I can. I should be sleeping in preparation for my night shift tomorrow but what I'm gonna go do is put some more miles on it, and probably even enjoy it, in fact im not even bothered if its raining!! . How could it be improved, err well only thing I can say I wanted at the time but was unable to have was an alarm, which sadly may not stop low life theiving scumbags trying to nick it from where I live, but It would give me enough time to get my shotgun and blow their heads off (what do you mean am I serious, try me and find out!!!). Anyone not working Thursday wanna go for a spin let me know, and will sort something out, bit short notice but hey ho!!
Anyway enough of this merriment, gonna go see if i can fit my tent in the panniers, Bye All............

Hello mate,

Made the swap from K12GT to R12GSA only a couple of weeks ago.

Had no reliability issues with my GT but was going way too fast far too frequently and burning through brake pads, tyres and fuel way too quickly (40mpg). I'd say mine was great in corners, especially fast sweepers and superb on the brakes - but crap at slow speed, walking pace stuff (especially in the snow......)

Anyway, glad to hear that you too are having oodles of fun having made the transition into the slow lane.

Welcome Mark2jag,

for extras you could try a shotgun holder :)

for rideouts keep your eye out in the southeast section we often go for rideouts and have a laugh.

Lot of piss taking tho so a good sense of humour is obligatory :D
