Yes, I know what I said but.......

Although to be fair there is a technique for avoiding fly damage, whilst still riding the bike. Alan left for Llangollen the previous week. 10mph = no smashed flies.

So thats what the new bits are about? I suppose its one way to make sure your 1200 gets there :D

Mention has been made already of the Fastways, I would also recommend them as something to add to your shopping list, paticularly with an adjustable lever, even in my case if it's the TT one.

You do realise TT will have you off the invite list for the staff party now your buying Wunderlich don't ya! :D

.....how nice is this little piece of kit?

I found that the OE one to long hence the very necessary purchase of the shorter one.....

Admit it, you saw my gear lever and had to have one!:D
OE footpegs look a little downmarket though, suggest a set of stainless pivot pegs?

If its a fact that when a fly hits the windscreen it stops for a millisecond and therefore, the bike must stop also, if the fly does no more than flip the bike, but there are many of them, what additional HP does the bike require to travel through a clowd of mozzies?

To be 100% honest, I dont like the Fastway pegs, especially the grub screws, all looks a biy DIY to me.
:nenau

I like the TT ones, no suprise there then :o , but I am quite happy with the OE ones.

BTBR - could you tell me the distance between centres on your new gear lever, with it as shown in your pic in the shortest position. The description from the Wunderlich site only gives info on how much longer it will go.
I too have a problem with the standard lever being too long. It being 120mm between centres.
I tried to estimate from the picture, but your bike appears different to mine ('07GS).

Hi Phil

Using a very high tech measuring instrument, ie B&Q tape measure, :o I would estimate 108mm when at its shortest length.

It does make quite a big differance as I can get much more purchase under the lever now. :thumb

Like most extras related to the GS (except my lighting mods of course) everything costs a friggin' fortune. But it is very well made and it does exactly what it says on the packet.
