I'm ok about folk discussing the vote itself.

But there are possibly, a dozen threads already with arguments about who deserves how much...How we should feel grateful to belong to such an esteemed union ... How dare we bite the hand that feeds us ... How the Scots have positively contributed ...How unfair the Barnett formula is ... How politicians are greedy self-minded egotists, wankers, idiots, fat, ugly, crooked ... How Scots have had our oil used ... You're not using our pound, etc etc

Pick one of the many and give your opinion on one of them .... or any of them, because they all contain exactly the same opinions (whinging ungrateful Scots, how dare they. Let them go, who gives a shit about that cold wet place full of gingers with skirts) ...I fully understand that the English among you are a wee bit annoyed that we want to leave the family home, so have got to voice your opinion on every thread on the subject . You are concerned with our well being. Its an insult to your caring protective nature after all you have done for us.
But ask yourself one question. Why would we consider leaving if nothing is wrong? Its not 'just happened' because the country is a bit of a shitty hole at the moment. This has been on the cards for the past 50 years. For as much as some of you dont like Alex Salmond, he is the one who has managed to bring all the loose ends together got us a vote..

Bloody hell ... I'm doing it myself now ...stop!!!

Its just a wee poll for my own gratification. :)

Minor details, the population has only migrated there because that is where all the money is kept. It would migrate again when it moved. With that in mind Scotland would do well and so would the North of England. The only area to be worse off would be the overly pampered SE region but they won't mind that since they see it as being OK for the North to get nowt just now. It could be moved in another couple of hundred years to Wales or Ireland and everyone gets a shot of the wealth for a while.
 
Maybe we should also remind our esteemed English, Welsh and Irish friends, colleagues and fellow GSers that we're not looking to divorce them so there's no need for them to get all hurt and huffy at being dumped. I'm sure we'll let them all back in to sample the delights of our wonderful country and spend their hard-earned cash in our shops, pubs and brothels.

It's just the Government that middle England chose and the whole system of administration that it supports that doesn't suit our aspirations and is inconsistent with the vision of a fairer and more equal society that many of us desire. :flag

....good question, which begs the question where is Scotland and do I live in Scotalnd or does Scotland live in me? - For me it is in my heart so I am resident wherever my life may take me.

I think you don't realize that this vote has in reality fuck all to do with voting SNP. Soon after a YES vote there will be an election to decide who gets power, so you wont be voting SNP in the referendum vote, only if we want independence or not..........simples

its got to be a yes, we are a proud nation with a vast wealth in our seas, we don't need english governments to
screw up our economy or run our banks, and we can then police our own borders and say who we allow in
dont want romanians, and send most of the polls home, then there will be plenty of jobs for our own.

Not a racist person, but think we should be looking after our own first. england wants to be a multi racial nation
well let them, we dont need it. or want it, the last two governments. have screwed up big time. time we went on our own

Most of what you are looking for - is only atainable if we are outside Europe, at least to the extent that Norway is (right of abode not governed by Brussels)

When you have finished conducting your racial cleansing with the 'polls' ( I assume you meant Poles) and the Romanians, will it be the turn of the English?
I believe Fred Goodwin a Scot was at the helm of the Royal Bank of Scotland when it failed (and was bailed out with UK tax money) The English goverments you decry were very recently run by Scots who in 13 years managed to fuck up the UK economy and take us into the shithole of Afghanistan, the fool Prudence Brown sold off a shedload of gold when it was at it's lowest price for years.
The more tripe I read like your post the more I begin to want for the break up of the UK, the more I read into the pro independence issue the more I am starting to see veiled racism, especially towards the English. Until fairly recently I was very pro Union, I've always thought that as 65million of us live on the one lump of rock that is Britain the more united we need to be, rather than shouting we are different from each other we need more social cohesion, not more barriers between us. I have Scottish and Irish antecedents, and many family and friends who are Scots who by the way are all pro union. It has now got to the point where I am just about not bothered anymore. If the vote goes to independence then good luck to you, the vanity of some politicians will have been massaged and the tartan racists can have their utopia.
