Its not rocket science

No, it isn't. But I would like to have some idea of what will happen after a Yes vote. Wee Eck and his pals have to offer more than a wish list.

Vote No and things stay the same.

Vote Yes and........what? What WILL happen? What will we be buying our beer with?

I'd love to be in an independent nation but no one has even come close to explaining what that will be, how it will work and who will be running it?
The fuck- wits who have presided over the tram disaster, the obscene waste of money office they sit around in and the latest colossal , needless waste of money on a new bridge to replace one that's got nothing wrong with it?
Oh aye, and a proposed tax on your view?
Wanting to join the euro disaster?

They'll need to do better. A lot better.

If I could see into the future id be rich and living on a tropical island somewhere. So you want too br able to see into the future ? Dont we all !!!

Wully, We all know that the present band of politicians are mostly theiving wankers. But I'm sure, like all professions, there are good ones as well. Maybe they can have more of a chance to shine in a smaller, more visible country.

Just who do you think we can have if we didn't have politicians? Unfortunately, its got to be someone. We just need good honest ones.
I would rather the fuckers-up were 30 miles away, than in Westminster.

Lets get the country first, then work on running it properly. When Britain sinks economically, I want to be sitting on the smaller boat unconnected to the Titanic.

The thing is Den I'd like to know what thieving wankers I've got to choose from...

Hopefully ( forlorn) ones that want to do a ' Norway' if they'd go for that I'd be a deffo 'YES'

its got to be a yes, we are a proud nation with a vast wealth in our seas, we don't need english governments to
screw up our economy or run our banks, and we can then police our own borders and say who we allow in
dont want romanians, and send most of the polls home, then there will be plenty of jobs for our own.

Not a racist person, but think we should be looking after our own first. england wants to be a multi racial nation
well let them, we dont need it. or want it, the last two governments. have screwed up big time. time we went on our own

You need to be voting for UKIP if you want the above. Eck is on record as saying he wants a more liberal immigration policy than the UK currently has and he is determined to be in the EU so Poles and all the rest will be free to move to Scotland without any control on their numbers. I am not too hung up on the immigration issue but it scares me that someone who is keen to reduce immigration should have decided to vote yes to independence for Scotland. It illustrates exactly the sort of thinking in the yes camp where there is an emotional response to the thought of "freedom" without any consideration of what it will mean in practice. Robbie boy has legitimate views about immigration and believes that voting for independence will keep out Romanians and get the Poles sent home when in fact the result would be the exact opposite of what he wants. This is a momentous decision that can't be undone. Please study the facts and make an informed choice based on the facts you believe. It's not a Mel Gibson movie you are voting for and the vast majority of the English don't care if we stay or go so the "get it right up ye" mentality will pass completely unnoticed south of the border. Don't collectively allow Scotland to cut off its nose to spite it's face. The only people who will notice will be us Scots as we dig deeper into out income tax pockets to fund Eck's dreams of socialist republic.

25-18 at the moment. The blue and white stallion with Wee Eck on board had nosed into the lead. Still a way to go though.

An there in lies a dangerous road, I genuinely believe regardless of how the vote goes, it will be marginal win and that's the worst thing that could happen.we need a definitive win regardless whether that's a yes or no.

Yes I would agree with that otherwise there could be huge arguments.

Sorry I still see his funny face on his surgery window in peterheid when I walked home in the 90ties, thinking what vote for him then, noway!

Whichever way the vote goes, I hope it's a good turn out.

The most depressing thing would be a shite turn out for such an important question.

I think that there will be. I for one making sure that I'm in Scotland for the vote. First time I've really felt this way.

Independence is leading by seven lengths now. Better Together, the joint favourite, ridden by Imallright Jack, is still in the hunt, but the jockey is using the whip occasionally. Undecided, ridden by Howard Willit-Effectmewallet, is trailing, but has jumped the first hurdle.

A long way to go in this epic race. Keep watching race fans.

Another report from your race commentator, live at the scene of this weeks continuing event.

Yes , I'm standing here at one of the large hurdles which have been placed across the course. Its a big one sponsored by the bank of england.
Its showing the scars of several impacts by the runners. Its taken a Pounding, but is still standing, so will catch them out again on the next lap.
Better Together is still seven lengths back from Wee Eck on Independence, but both still pounding-on. The blue and white livery on the leading jockey still resplendent whilst the second placed rider is looking a bit mud splattered and uncomfortable, clutching desperately onto the reigns.
Undecided, in third place, is a long way back, but may play an important part in this race in the later stages.
A riderless horse , Frontier, caused the leaders to swerve earlier-on in the week, but did not affecting the positions.

EU water jump coming up soon. Who will end up in it?

I wonder if this graph will change now that we may have to share the Euro with Spain, South Ireland and the many other countries with massive debts and unemployment.
The only bright light is being able to travel to Europe with ` our ` own currency ........God help us.

It seems to me that letting an independent Scotland continue with the Pound was never going to happen.

If Scotland decides to become an independent country then how could it use a currency outside its control? Also from the UK’s point of view it would allow an independent third party (Scotland) the ability to influence the pound. We can all see the risks involved here.

I don’t feel that the Chancellors statement today is unfair towards Scotland but just a way of protecting the UK.

I fail to understand why an independent Scotland would not want its own currency anyway, such as the Scottish Pound or throw its lot in with the Euro (assuming the Spanish don’t blackball them from membership)

I do hope that there is a good turnout when the vote actually happens and a firm majority for one way or the other.

Hopefully we will all continue to stay together.
