If you're going to be driving or riding a motorcycle in Fife in the near future or perhaps later and you're someone who likes to make progress at speeds in excess of the posted limits, you might want to watch out for one of Fife Police's sneaky revenue generators....ehh, I mean, weapons in the fight against the heinous crime of exceeding the speed limit...
I was making progress in the car, in my usual manner, this morning when I noticed that a silver '09 plate BMW with a pair of silver roof bars (they look like standard Thule ones on which you might mount a roof box), had pulled out of a side road and was behind me. The sequence went something like: silver BMW 5 series with something attached to the roof = take it easy! > no, it's ok, it's a 5 year old car with a pair of Thule roof bars > hang on a minute, the passenger's wearing a black polo shirt and those look like pips on his shoulders > and now I see there's a small lamp which probably lights up blue, in each of the grille "kidneys" > sneaky buggers...!!! Early observation saved the day....
So....be careful out there, folks.
