this one's about the 2 piece version. :augie

Well those who have them no the benefits of the Roadcrafter, those that don't don't know what their missing, but as yet I've not seen much posted about the two piece version.

I've been a fan of this type of suit since getting my first last year, liked it so much that I sold off my twat suit as I never wore it after the Stich arrived.

I'd tried the Olympia Phantom which I still rate as a fantastic bit of kit but deep down I always fancied a spanking new Stich as up to now mine have been of the used not abused variety.

I kept playing with the Stich suit configurator, fondling the sample swatches they sent me and ended up giving into temptation and ordering a two piece version of the Roadcrafter together with the optional bib which lets you wear the trousers separately.

Zipped together, it's as fast and convenient to use as the one piece version, yet either part can be worn separately. The jacket overlaps the pants by about six inches and is attached with a securely sewn zipper to stand up to stress and hard use. The pants have a waist drawstring with cord locks, and there are two additional pockets sewn into the lining that are accessible behind the flaps covering the side zippers.

Compared to the one piece it has all the pockets in similar positions and getting into it is exactly the same process except you have 2 zips following the left leg rather than one.

The jacket is joined to the trousers by a heavy duty zip as used on the rest of the suit and with a generous overlap is well protected from the elements.

All the additional armour (back and hip protectors) can be fitted to the suit as can the optional range of map pockets.

Aerostich also offer an optional insert for the two piece suit which gives more movement when leaning forward on sports bikes. With my back I can't see this being necessary!

One other mentionable benefit of the two piece is the ability to mix different sizes of jacket and trousers for a more individual fit. As long as you have the items no more than plus or minus one size they fit together perfectly.

Owing to a production error the trousers arrived with silver ballistics, I'd ordered them in black but a quick email has the correct version on the way to me. 10 out of 10 for customer service I say.

Looking forward to trying it out properly but have to say I'm very pleased so far. :thumb

Think I prefer with silver ballistics - looks well indeed :thumb2

Any chance you'd have the swabs in Hayabusa white/flame red colours? :)

p.s it's always good to get a look inside the emporiuom of bling - ta :thumb

Ive had a 2 piece for years and love it to bits the back and hip armour is definately worth getting.

I owned a two piece and one piece suit at the same time, both in the same colours - how cool is that.
My two piece also had the zip on bib/braces.

I've since sold the two piece, only thing i didn't like was the length of the jacket. Far to short.

You old poser you, I never new you had a 2 piece apart from that rather fetching bikini you wore at last years East Mids meet. :ymca

I personally find the jacket a good length on me, but again it's all down to body length I suppose.

If I'd known you had the 2 piece for sale I'd have made you an offer. :blast

Thanks for the write up Thunder :thumb2

I'm currently somewhat taken with the Falstaff (any coincidence it sounds like Belstaff :augie)
