Seem to be a lot of where can I get these decals from, and before anyone says try BMW I have and the ones I'm after are no longer available. :blast

Basically I'm after the blue and blue decals which are on the side of the R80 g/s Alpine White and Blue colour scheme.

Anyone know of a potential supplier either of the OE or a pattern part?

I wonder if two wheel humvee could make them for us. The standard ones are a pain The colouring comes straight off the sticker if you go near it with anything other than soap and water.

I got mine earlier this year from Motorworks. They were ordered by them direct from BMW and came in bm packaging so they are available. Probably the BM dealer cannot be arsed. Try motorworks.

Tip when putting them on.. put a solution of water and washing uo liquid on the tank and he back, (sticky side) of the decal. lay the decal on the tank, slide to where you want it and squeegy the liqid out. I know it doesnt seem right but believe me it works and the thing sticks to the tank. If you do it dry you wont be able to move it and you will almost certainly tear or stretch it.
Good luck.

Just gave MW a call and they say they can get the decals from BMW but at a price of course! :blast £55 for the pair!

Given Mr Farmer's comments about durability I wonder if it would be worth while having Two Wheel Humvee look into the matter or even having the OE stickers lacquered over? :nenau

I too heard the stickers were crap....so I had them painted on :thumb2

+1

if you are having the tank painted...have them painted in then laquered over

When I had my PD tank repainted, they did the white first, then put decals on, then lacquered over the top. Lovely jubbly :thumb2

Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find and thanks to J Armstrong Esq and the link he sent me to Flea Bay I've order a complete set of decals which I'll try having lacquered over.

Same seller also supplies g/s PD decals.

:popcorn
be interested to see if they are anygood.
i got some pd ones but they werent good enough:rolleyes:
but then got a pdtank with them all laquered over;)
my small tank has them painted on in special edition dark blue/light blue:P

laquered stickers look shit... there is always a ridge line unless you have about ten coats of lacquer and a lot of flatting down in between better pay a bit extra and get them painted on
