Yet another EWS problem on 2008 GS

Very disappointed today to suffer the dreaded 'EWS Problem' on my 08 GS and with just 450 miles on the clock

This is my 6th GS but first 1200 and am less than impressed, especially after searching and realising the extent of this problem!

Is there a definitive fix for this (there should be!) or should I resign myself to repeated problems as others have reported!

Should have stuck with the 1150!

There is apparently a new part number for the ring, so i'd imagine its of a new design or manufacturer- Link. Mine went along with the gear indicator at about 1000 milles (didn't leave me stranded though). That was 11000 miles ago, no problems since.
