Yet another lights question

Hi All

While agreeing a collection date for my new GS (the faster yellow variety for those with a colour fetish ) I had a look at the K1200R.

While I was admiring the naked brute I noticed that it appeared to have a similar light unit to the GS.

So here's the question(s):

1. Anyone ridden the 12R at night and are the lights any good?
2. If yes and yes, can you fight the bulbs from the 12R into the GS thus allowing me to replace the 1/2 candle powered effort that BMW deem suitable.....

I should imagine the bulbs are identical.

So you can fit them to your GS - it just won't make any difference.

What a shame that bmw can make such a good machine and put s--t lights on them. love my gs ,but those lights, maybe does'nt get dark in Germany.

The way to go with lights is a light bar with the spots and fogs of your choice on it.

If you're rich, get HID lamps, if you're slightly well off, get Hellas, and if you're a tight sod like me, get Halfords cheapo Ring specials

All work well enough to light up the road in front of you

.you have misunderstood, its a different type of dark in Germany, they work perfectly well there !, the same principal applies to GS in Germany they don’t go rusty, the paint doesn’t flake of the...blar.....blar
