You all told me.....

Is anyone here using the Abba bicycle stand? Looks good, and half price on eBay

https://abbastands.co.uk/product-detail.asp?item=bicycle-stand&pid=41

And would I be right to assume that SDOC100 products would be fine to clean & lube the bike with, or does anyone have any other recommendations?

I use the SDoc100 cleaner on mine and it's great. After a wash, i sometimes use GT85 all over, or sometimes FS365, minding to keep away from the discs.

As for stands - get yourself a Park Tools stand - best there is arguably, and expensive but well worth it. When it's time to change the front chainring, that abba stand will be useless. Not sure it even fits the bosch cranks.

Here's some things I recommend for any mtber to get/do as well. Things in brackets are what I've ended up with, but there's loads of choice out there.

Get a shockpump (Rockshock 500psi)
Get better pedals (Crank Bros Stamp 2)
Get a good multitool (Topeak mini 20 pro)
Go tubeless (Muc-Off valves & sealant), but also
Carry a spare tube
Get tyre levers
Get tyre pump (Leyzine Mini track pump)
Get decent chain lube (muc-off wet, and dry lube)

There's probably loads more, but the other half has just handed me a glass of wine, so I'm off....

Read this quote elsewhere online....

Sealed motor you were all saying :blast

None of them are "properly" sealed. For a little more protection I fitted an aftermarket seal on the drive side of the crankshaft as well as the Mudstopper from here:

https://www.performancelinebearings.com/mudstop-the-bosch-bearing-protection-system/

https://www.performancelinebearings...to-protect-the-right-hand-crankshaft-bearing/

And your quote from the EMTB forum is generally considered to be accurate...and Bosch's warranty is a rolling one I believe, so 2 years warranty starts from when you get a replacement motor.

Oh, and well done for calling someone on that forum, and I quote "you condescending prick" after what, 8 posts? Very well done. Not.

This is my bike stand, gets it at a much better height for working on....

Good tips, thanks. :thumb

I won’t be changing the chainring, so the ABBA stand should be fine. It uses the 8mm hex bolt, so will fit mine with no issues. At half price, it’s worth a punt.

Bugger me, this thread is top of the list when I just logged on and page count shot up to 15 pages wtf? It's only about someone getting an e-bike Shirley.? I need to backtrack, gotta be some scrapping somewhere.:handbag

Anything about ebikes on here gets everyone excited. And now I understand why. :beerjug:

Take note of the Levo ladies. When ebikes are mentioned its like a mating call and they emerge in unison, strutting their stuff, and always with photos of their bikes with scenic backdrops :D
Out of all my years of having a pushbike as a kid, I don't think I ever took a photo of it propped up against a large stone.
