You all told me.....

What tools and bits are people carrying when out on the trails ?

Nice bike...

As for tools - I run tubeless with sealant

I carry a small pouch of Peatys Sealent
Multi tool in the head tube
Spare inner tube in case the damage is to big to plug
A tyre plug kit just in case the hole is to big for the sealant - I have a MTB dynaplug (very good) but have just acquire this rats tail tool, which btw I reckon could work on motorbikes
I carry a couple of Co2 canisters and valve and a small pump

Todate with the large volume tyres I’ve found the sealent has been enough to fix multiply punctures and not need a pressure top up . I’ve only needed a quick trail side inflate once and the Co2 made that very easy.

When running tubeless you need to seat the tyre, once it’s done it’s OK but th3 first time after fitting new tyres I use Co2 to pop the tyre to the rim - If you use Co2 have a test when at home so you know how the valve works

Here you go, the Levo ladies presents the Spesh Levo bike's developers

The fact is.... ebikes are a very rapidly changing/improving technology: When I when to Leisure Lake's test evening in 2017 I tried Spesh Levo; Cannondale Moterra, Cube, Haibike, and Trek. I went there fairly set on a Levo, but in 2017 when all the others had bar mounted motor controls, and lcd displays showing speed; motor mode; trip distance etc. the Levo just seemed a poor relation, plus the fact that the mode change was on the downtube and not the bars made it tricky when you suddenly needed a bit of turbo to get you up a steep rooty slope. (I was also still using a little nokia phone, and didn't have a smartphone at the time, so the Spesh app control was no use to me) It also seemed to me that the Brose motor was very jerky compared with the Bosch in the Trek, and the Yam in the Haibike. So i went there wanting a Spesh, but came away wanting anything but. I plumped for the Trek Powerfly Lt, and still love it. It has ample range, and I love the Bosch motor..... and it came out top in several tests of 2017 emtbs..... but it is a 2017, so I have no doubt that the current models are better in every way. I don't like the drag on the Bosch motor in mine when it cuts out, but it's no big deal, but I have no doubt if I rode one of new Bosch motor equipped bikes, I'd be wanting to change. Mine also has the non integrated battery, which doesn't look as good as any of the new 'built in' designs, but that doesn't affect the riding. The Haibike at the time (2017) was awesome.... fantastic tech, and the yam motor felt so smooth and powerful, but the bike was about £9500.... so I thought fook that :)
Any way.... just saying.... Nutty Duke's cube looks the bollox, and I have no doubt it is more advanced than mine. Likewise I'm sure I would probably love the later model Ladies' Levos, and may even consider one when I do eventually downgrade. But make no mistake, these things are developing so quickly that whatever you plump for, will be outdated before you can say 'ebike of awesomeness'
In the meantime ebikers..... lets just revel in the things while the doubters still whinge on about them not giving us any exercise and cheating and being to heavy and all that other guff:D:D:D:D:D

That is a concern for me, coughing up 4 grand + for a bike you can't even trade in is a lot oh cash with things moving so quickly.

Weight is going to be the next thing they will work on and as I said earlier, wireless displays seems obvious that I'm surprised wired is where they are at just now.

I recall only 3 or 4 years ago repeatedly poo pooing ebikes, it's probably only a matter of time before they are the norm.

Don’t know if there’s any truth to this statement, but the dealer I bought my wife’s Cube eBike 2 years ago from told me every other bike sold in Germany is an eBike.

Agree that it’s only a matter of time, before they’re the norm.

Think they’re the norm already on UKGSER:thumb

That's why Me, Tim and Phil all bought Spesh 2017 Press bikes at half price, in 2018 - most hadn't even done 20 miles

It got us into a top level bike, for beer money which was essentially new

Was in Hannover 6 years ago, and went into an ebike shop. They had 85 different models on display.
Picked my roadgoing ebike there.
Was through the Dolomites last summer. 75% ebikes.
Bought my trail ebike March last.
3 of my motorcycle riding friends, who also trail ride, have now bought ebikes.
In Amsterdam/Hannover, the need is not so great, because there are no hills there, but is suspect anywhere there are hills it is a no brainer.
From March last year, my trail ebike has done over 2,000 km.
It has knocked the motorcycle into second place for pleasure.

Some close ups of the stand. Plenty of clearance, if you set it up right. ;)

In 2017 we spent ages nosing at the emtb's in Cortina and Livigno, the prices at the time seemed absolutely mental, like 5 grand for a mountain bike

I remember saying, they must be brilliant here (Alps) but you'd never spend that kinda money on a mtb back home :blast
