You all told me.....

I'm getting around 80-90 miles out of a charge, but only use eMTB mode around half the time, maybe a bit more.

I tend to ride with it switched off a lot of the time, only really using it for steep hills, or less steep towards the end of a ride, as I'm normally riding beyond the restricted limit of the motor.

So if you get around 80 miles and only use it for half then that’s around 40 miles per charge, then consider it’s 40 hilly miles and that sounds pretty good - doesn’t it?

What capacity battery does it have?

Yeah, not bad at all. It’s the 625Wh.

Battery capacity is all relevant to many factors, rider weight, tyres, mode you're in, how much climbing you do, so essentially two different people can get two different capacities out of the same watt hour battery, well that's my understanding of it all.

The Levo is to the ebike world what the 1150 is to the GS world.

Not the newly launched SL models

Lightest and most nimble ebikes currently on offer, another game changer for the most progressive and radical MTB’er

Specialized have moved it on again, leaving Cube, Trek, Merida trailing and well behind the curve.....again

One of my neighbours, a life time on and off road biker has just bought one of these to cope with a touch of angina. Looks really well made and still retains that original bike look. Set up with gravel tyres and wider drop bars which seem to be the fashion now. Probably no good for hard core off roading and those who must have that E motor torpedo bike tag, but I suspect more than adequate for the average road and trail rider.

I'm almost tempted but my 35 year old Scott Montana is just having it's bent from derailleur replaced so I'll stick with it for now although the hills seem steeper than when I bought it.

But lets be honest here, most in this topic are generally doing xc with their sooked up bikes, yourself, nutty, arsey, Tim, tell me I'm wrong ?

Yeah, but you’ve got the 1150 version. The one with all the old tech & components. :D

And your second paragraph isn’t applicable to most on here, myself included.

I haven't though - later motor and bigger battery FOC

That’s good. For what I’m using the bike for, spending any more money than I did would be a bit of a waste tbh. It’s very easy to get swept up in spending more, until you end up blowing the budget completely. I bet there’s a lot of blokes riding ebikes that cost a lot more than they’d ever need to spend, for what they’re using their bikes for. ;)

Too true - my reasoning too and why I bought mine as an unused demo, which was half RRP and with the latest motor at the time and 504wH battery

Says the man who just spunked £1000s to go from 1290 to MultiStayatHome........:-)

Absolute fact ! Though that's never stopped any of us over spending when it comes to various other things be it motorbike/cars even houses ffs.

My second Levo was bought based on the fact that I had used my first far more than any other bike I own, or have owned in the past. I still have the first, and it is used regularly by either Denise or her daughter. Yes, it was expensive, but worth it in my opinion. We live on the edge of Delamere Forest, which has miles of singletrack and a few "interesting" descents. The Levo makes getting back up to do the descents again an option. Prior to the Covid situation I would have been out 2 or 3 times a week for a couple of hours at a time, now I'm using it for my daily hours exercise. Specialized do a more "downhill" orientated bike, the Kenevo, which I had lengthy discussions about before deciding on another Levo. I much prefer the Brose motor and the geometry of the Specialized suits my style of riding. I believe the others are getting there, some may soon surpass them, but not for me at the moment.

Joined the Cube club today. Been out for a quick spin and I’ve realised that it’s been so long since I was on a bike, it’ll take me a week to Go in a straight line! Onwards and upwards.

Also, I’ve given up trying to post a picture!
