You all told me.....

Bear in mind that you could get a dozen different saddles recommended and all will be crap for you, and yet a £15 cheapo will be perfect. As above, measure your sit bones (google it, there'll be loads of youtube videos)
Also...do you use chamois cream...like Assos? Grab a good couple of fingers worth and liberally rub it round the back of your bollox and bumhole.

Right chaps, I need a new saddle. My arse is red raw, and I’m not convinced the razor blade saddle is doing my back any favours either. Has anyone here gone for anything more comfortable, that doesn’t stand out like a sore thumb?

I have a gel one and it’s superb

Definitely get some padded cycling shorts, they help a lot. When I first started on the ebike I did a 16 mile ride in a pair of jeans and suffered with a sore arse and lower back for around 2 weeks, padded shorts (you can wea4 them under whatever trousers) and a better saddle sorted it, I can recommend the Bioflex ongel ozone saddle and they sell it in different widths depending on how large your arse is! :thumb

30 bloody pages, so far, far a push bike purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been looking into this, Fabric are having some good reviews. Need to measure your seat bones apparently

Good tip, I’ll take a look.:thumb

Yeah, I’m using Aveeno, which helps. I’ve seen things using a hand held mirror that I never want to see again.

You are wearing padded shorts ye ?

Yep, most of the time.

The ones I have are a few years old, so a bit tight. I’ll take a look at those ones, as I’m going to sort this, belt and braces.

People here love eBikes. Deal with it. :pullface

I found the Madison Flux saddle to be really comfortable. It’s not expensive and worked well on a hybrid, road bike and MTB so basically most riding positions.

ISM seats seems to get very good reviews. Anyone got one?

Any decent bike shop should have a saddle measuring machine. You sit your ass on it, it measures you and tells you what size seat you need. :thumb2 Easy.
Other than that, as previous mentioned, a good pair of well padded cycling shorts and a gel seat will get you by. :thumb2

There’s only one problem with that at the moment :blast

New seat and underpants ordered. Hopefully that’ll sort the farmer giles.

I’m inclined to disagree with regard to a gel seat.
It’s like the best motorcycle seats-the ones you sit on and they instantly feel comfy, within an hour or two they’ve normally given up on the support and are shite.
The seat that you sit on and think, ‘wow that’s a bit firm’, that’s the seat you want for all day comfort.
The Renazco I had on my 950SE never felt ‘comfy’, but never felt uncomfy and I could ride all day over 500 miles without an ache.It was so good that I’ve got one coming for my Husky.
Anyway, back to the e-mtb issue.

The Selle I have on my e-mtb looks very uncomfy but is designed to support your arse bones and let you breathe.
It’s so much better than the OE seat that my bike came with.

I mentioned this above but Nutty has ignored it.
He’ll get a seat that looks comfy and then find out it’s not....just like he ignored all the advice to get a full sus e-mtb , when he bought that hybrid that cost him £100s in wasted cash.....
